We welcome volunteers!

In the spring we meet often to prepare beds, plant, mulch and water. During the warmer months, we usually meet every 3-4 weeks to maintain the gardens, gather to tour each other's gardens and enjoy each other’s company.

Our current volunteers value native plants and the wildlife they support. We are grateful to have found each other and grateful for the positive feedback and support we have received from village residents.

All of our gardens are designed, planted, and maintained by volunteers. Our projects include:

  • choosing and buying plants

  • growing plants from seed

  • preparing garden beds

  • planting and mulching

  • watering

  • researching plants

  • website, graphics, photography

  • leadership board

  • In the future, we hope to offer guided walks to share information about how useful native gardens are for wildlife and humans.

Donate

We appreciate donations in any amount. Every dollar donated to the Ridgeway Nature and Garden Club goes right into our community; purchasing plants, seeds, bushes, trees, compost, soil, mulch, watering cans, plant markers, and benches. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit so that donations to the garden club are tax deductible.

We are still setting up our donation platform. Please email us about sending a donation.
